BASELA’s Disaster Relief Ministry will provide physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance for survivors of disasters, both natural and man-made, including floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, and terrorist attacks.  Every opportunity will be taken to share the gospel with each person contacted.

Within BASELA there are shower units, chainsaw units, child respite care unit; Incident/Command personnel, and people trained in all aspects of disaster response including, mass feeding, shower and laundry service, chainsaw operations, mud-out, and chaplain services.  BASELA’s response to disasters will be coordinated through the Louisiana Baptist Convention.
